Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Arjun On Demand (AODX), Hyderabad, Telangana, India, which builds and runs Showplain ("Showplain", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Showplain you accept them. If you use Showplain for a company, you accept them for that company too.

1. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Give a real email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.

2. Your videos and content

You own what you record and upload. You give us permission to store, process, transcribe, summarise and show it, only so we can run Showplain for you and the people you share links with. This permission ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in backups that are removed in the normal course.

Anyone who has a share link can watch that video and read its notes. Links are long random addresses that are not listed or searchable, but keep them private if the video is private.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use Showplain to record, upload or share anything that:

• is illegal, or exploits or harms children in any way;
• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• harasses, threatens or discriminates against people;
• contains malware, phishing or spam, or tries to break or overload the service;
• records other people without the consent the law requires where you are.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

4. AI notes

Transcripts, summaries, chapters and action items are written automatically by AI. They can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important before you rely on it.

5. Plans, trials and payment

• Free plan: recordings up to 15 minutes; share links work for 90 days after recording; free share pages show a "Made with Showplain" badge.
• Trial: new accounts get Pro features for 14 days without a card. When it ends the account moves to Free and nothing is charged.
• Pro subscription: billed monthly or yearly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. Customers in India pay ₹499 a month or ₹3,999 a year; customers elsewhere pay US$12 a month or US$96 a year. The amount is always shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay. If prices change, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change affects your renewal.
• Cancelling and refunds: you can cancel any time on the Billing page. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Refunds follow our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
• Founding 500 (Pro for life): a one-time payment (₹4,999 in India, US$79 elsewhere) for Pro features for as long as Showplain runs, with fair use of up to 10 hours of new recordings a month.
• Delivery: Showplain is online software and nothing is shipped. Pro is switched on in your account right after payment, as described in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
• Taxes may be added where the law requires.

6. When your account moves to Free

Your videos are not deleted. Links older than 90 days stop working until you upgrade again, and Pro features (branding, buttons, chapters, downloads) are hidden.

7. Ending the service

You can stop using Showplain and delete your videos at any time. To delete your whole account, email us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut Showplain down, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your videos.

8. No warranty and limits of liability

Showplain is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and your videos safe, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Showplain after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of your own country.
